RFK Jr. on the 9/11 Truth Movement

What made these towers fall? Inquiring minds want to know...

In the wake of the 7th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, Ralph Nader’s well-timed call for a “real investigation,” and this blog’s week-long series of features on independent, third-party and true maverick candidates like Jesse Ventura, Nader, Ron Paul, and Cynthia McKinney all who question the official story, many of our readers have been asking us where Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stands on the question of 9/11 Truth.

Some have pointed out that Kennedy’s uncle, President John F. Kennedy, often warned against such an “inside job” happening in America, citing 1962’s Operation Northwoods, his famous anti-secrecy speech (see video clip below), and even a fascinating doodle by Kennedy from late 1963 in which he scribbled “9” and “11” and the word “conspiracy” as proofs that he must have been either incredibly psychic or else knew something we didn’t 45 years ago.

In To Seek a Newer World, Robert F. Kennedy wrote these controversial and perhaps telling words which some have interpreted as a warning to mankind:

“All of us will ultimately be judged and as the years pass we will surely judge ourselves, on the effort we have contributed to building a new world order and the extent to which our ideals and goals have shaped that effort.”

Does this mean RFK saw exactly what was happening and refused the Electric Kool-Aid that was being passed around in the late 1960s? A lot of folks sure seem to think he was blessed with second sight!

Others point to the assassinations of both Kennedy brothers as inside jobs, and openly question how any member of the Kennedy family could fail to see that 9/11 was another coordinated “hit.” How could the Kennedys, of all people, know of this tyranny and not speak out against it, they ask?

So, to put the question to rest, here is what RFK Jr. has said on the record about 9/11 Truthers, the Pentagon plane mystery, bombs in the Twin Towers, and all that jazz.

These comments were made during an interview Bobby did with Philip Shenon, investigative journalist for the New York Times and author of the book The Commission, about the 9/11 Commission. The date of this interview was May 10, 2008, and aired on Ring of Fire, Kennedy’s weekly Air America radio show.

Below are direct permalinks to the interview on the official Ring of Fire and GoLeft.tv websites, so you don’t think we’re making this stuff up! Direct from the source, folks!:

AUDIO LINK – (Interview segment begins about halfway into the hour)
VIDEO LINK – (9/11 Truth issue is raised around 14:20)

We encourage our readers to take 20 minutes out of their day to listen very carefully to this interview and understand where Kennedy stands on the 9/11 issue.

Many of RFK’s supporters are openly skeptical of the government’s official story about the events of September 11, and the 9/11 Commission. But in the interest of presenting the facts, we want Kennedy’s supporters to know what they are. We do not want any one putting words in Kennedy’s mouth by saying he stands for 9/11 Truth when he clearly does not.

You might think he’s wrong – and feel free to disagree with him – but at least you now know what his take is on the 9/11 Truth movement. We do not censor comments on this blog (avoid personal attacks, and you’ll be welcome here), so 9/11 Truthers are encouraged to express themselves in this forum. Let’s have an open, honest debate. Bring your evidence, bring your facts, and let’s get into it!

Before anyone turns this into a flame war, keep this in mind: Kennedy openly admits in the above interview that he hasn’t taken the time to really look into the evidence. Maybe he should. So our readers who hope to convince Mr. Kennedy can be most helpful by pointing out where he can find the info he needs. Post external links to reputable sources and documents online, or better yet, print out a stack of documentation and mail it to him (that’s the stuff he’ll actually look at – he doesn’t have much time for websurfing). Or call him up on his radio show and ask him about specific 9/11 facts. Perhaps you’ll bump into him at a booksigning and have the chance to talk to him in person. Respectful disagreement is what America is all about, with an emphasis on respectful. At least that’s our motto here.

It’s a tough issue, this whole 9/11 “inside job” thing – one that divides my own family and even this blog’s own editorial staff argues amongst ourselves as to whether “the gubberment did it” or not. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Kennedys themselves are divided over what really happened on Sept. 11. What about RFK Jr.’s supporters? Where do you stand, and do you think Bobby is right or wrong? Let us know…

well, considering that the entire Kennedy family has always endorsed the Warren Report and have done nothing to aid independent investigators in the murder cases of JFK and RFK, I’m disappointed in RFK Jr.’s comments, but not really surprised.

I do think our government is not telling us the truth about 9/11. Their story that those towers fell due to fire is by far the most outrageous conspiracy theory of them all!

How could any thinking person believe that?

  2. Average Joe

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

The 9/11 truth movement is a group of (mostly) thoughtful committed citizens who are already changing the world. This movement is growing fast. Faster every day. Maybe one day RFK Jr. will join us on the barricades, shhouting:

    “9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB!”

  3. Up2HereWithLies

Hey, RFK Jr – time to wake up and smell the coffee, bro’. It just might be the last cup brewing!

  5. Bill...

A career politician/elitest will never speak out and stand up for the people! RFKJ is no different. I would hope he would be intested in looking closer at the issues the truth movement is concerned about but we all know he won’t.

  6. Balance of Power

I remember watching it all unfold, glued to my TV for a week straight. On the first day of the attacks all the TV networks were holding up pictures of a passport that they found from the rubble of the towers implicating Muslim terrorists. I was amazed by this, and thought “wow, we’ll know exactly what happened in no time” So I stayed glued to the TV, waiting for them to fill in all the details. But things just kept getting weirder and weirder. Reports of an abandoned hijacking, luggage containing flight manuals found in Maine, Israelis dancing in New Jersey, their truck found to have contained bomb residue. A building not hit by a plane falls half a day later into its own foot print? So many questions never answered, but I patiently awaited for the details to get filled in. Year and year the wait goes on, and as the distance grows so does the hostility towards those still left wondering. I’m not crazy. I’m not a conspiracy theorist. I was just a person who wanted to know what happened. The 9-11 commission only brought more questions. Suddenly, I find myself being labeled an AQ sympathizer, or one of the next generation “blond haired blue eyed” AQ.

Something isn’t right. The government story does not add up.

Ralph Nader this week has really caught my attention. He put out the call for something that should have happened right from the start, and independent investigation. I heard him even call for a 4 hour debate at the NPC.

Something has to be done. Even if the government story is 100% accurate, it needs to be verified. There was an article linked on Drudge titled something like ” No global consensus on who carried out 911″ World opinion is starting to slide to the side that the US or Israel did it. Isn’t that a security issue in and of itself? We need to clear our name to the rest of the world, and with our own people, for our own honor and safety. A true investigation into 911 is a start.

Interesting… Thanks for the ‘tack’ Tiger…

I think that the ‘rubber meets the road’ right here..

RFK,Jr. is in the eyes of many a vision of hope and bright futures, for us who have had a lifetime (already) eyewitnessing ‘events’ that just don’t add up… We’ve tolerated these events long enough and we have in fact reached our collective tolerances for stomaching the wretch of the feathering of the nests for those who would no sooner throw us under a bus or expose us to toxic fumes from imploded buildings or worse, put us in them, than to truck with ‘their’ money and power, or their opportunities to rape and pillage the United States and the World…

Regarding 9/11.. There are FACTS, which are incontrovertable, which when heard… none the less weighed or even thought about, leave an odor or more realistically a stench, that leads an average person to think… Well, What the Frick! and then to elaborate.. Why doesn’t the media pick up on this? or Why doesn’t anyone DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS?!!! It is then that one realizes that the drum beat heard repititiously and without rest, is that which “rewards” us and reminds us or cautions us, to be REAL AMERICANS and to be “REAL PATRIOTS”..

Quoted from our very own President… ” WE shall not tolerate conspiracy theories”… Huh.. Sorry but WTF and then to go into a tirade on who and what “The Axis of Evils” are and what will be acceptable behavior from the restof the world in terms of a globalized tyrannical threats that “you are either with ‘us’ or you’re with the enemy”…

So begins the era we live in now… Some say it is apacolyptic, some say it is WWIII, some say it’s a war on terror, some say it’s SHOCK and AWE.

Short of going into a laundry list of the hundreds of mal-aligned half-truths, lies, edited quotes, propoganda and the thousands of pieces of information and testimonies left on cutting room floors in news rooms, there are serious implications which are relevant and are highly significant in an open investigation of the events of 9/11/2001.

These investigations are abundantly neccesary and prudent, to establish the current wars we are committed to today, they are neccesary to clarify who is and who is not belonging on a list of evil axis’s and this investigation is neccesary to clear the air of conspiracy and curruption at our nation’s highest levels. If we are to invest our lives, our childrens lives, our money and our reputation at the pen stroke of what is mutually agreed upon with ourselves being represented by two “MAVERICK” or “ROGUE” men (Bush/Cheney), whom have been anything but forthright, upfront, transparent and even open to or even willing to be questioned publically on record about the events about 9/11/2001, we need to ask ourselves about how much more are we willing to keep down this wretched swill, as “good American Patriots”, before we all puke!

RFK… What’s it going to be? This is an issue that will not go away by the way. In fact, it is gaining “membership” among everyday folk all over the world. People want to know the facts, they don’t buy the media talking points, the “9/11 commission” is a farce, the contradictions within its own binders is proof that the story doesn’t add up. The issue here is left with you RFK… How do you react to this, our nations’ biggest crime.. you being a lawyer, your Father, being a NY Senator and an U.S. Attorney General and your Uncle being a highly respected and beloved President as well as a real leader? How are you going to act? If you continue down the ‘bunny trail’ laughing at ‘truthers’ about our countries’ darkest hour, how are you going to recant that to the people that lifted you up and blew air under your wings to champion OUR causes and yours. Are we expendable? Do you think for one split second that REPUBOCRATS are going to give you one look? You are the kiss of death to them… You are our man… Start acting like it Mr. Kennedy… This is where the rubber meets the road sir. 9/11/2001 as well as corporate corruption as well as environmental fascism as well as national patriotism are all bound in one flag sir… I would defer to the only rational thought I have left for your sentiments re: “truthers” is that you yourself just haven’t spent the time to educate yourself on investigation the truth for yourself sir… If you had, we wouldn’t be having this conversation… Or you have “investigated” the facts for yourself and you are now a koolaid representative.

Please let us know, by making some reference as to your enlightenment, should you wish to keep those of us who were once as blind as you are appearantly now.

I was a Republican once… I thought the inside job thing was a disgrace once.. I never thought that you were a toady though… ever.

Looks like RFK Jr. needs some educatin’ on 911:

  9. Cherie

It was that snarky little laugh that really got to me.

    Insulting. Infuriating. Incomprehensible.

I’m just soooooo disappointed in RFK Jr. for not having his eyes open to this a long time ago. I mean, he’s lived in NY for 20+ yrs, his dad was Senator from NY state, and Kennedy says he lost friends in the twin towers on 9/11. doesn’t he want to find out what really happened to them?

Perhaps the widely successful (and constant) efforts to deride ‘conspiracy theorists’ has gotten ahold of Mr. Kennedy as well.
The best place to sink your teeth into 9/11 research, should you want to approach the subject scientifically and with an open mind, is at historycommons.org in the complete 9/11 timeline. 5000 articles from mainstream press about 9/11, many buried in the b section when they came out. Read it.

  12. Hi, I share the skeptical views of most here. Anyone who is still at this late date chuckling over the inside job scenario and who can’t be arsed to click on a link is probably beyond help. Nevertheless – I’ve included a link to my website, so I’ve led the horse to water …

  13. chrisy58

I wached the clip. Thank you for posting.

Like most Americans I remember where I was when I first heard the news that the World Trade Center had been attacked. I was living in Folsom, CA at the time and just getting up to go to work when I heard the news. I turned on my tv and watched as I was getting ready to go to work. I made it into work at the medical clinic I was working at and a couple of the doctors brought their tv sets and in between patients we would sneak into the doctor’s office and watch the news. I don’t think there was an American who didn’t cry, who wasn’t angry and who wasn’t praying that day.

I remember seeing the second plane going into the building. I have heard the recordings of the people on the plane from Boston who were trying to let the rest of the country know what was happening. These people were real.

Someone asked how the fire could have brought down those buildings. I remember watching a special on that a few years ago which explained how it happen. When the plane hit the buildings the protective foam over the steel beams came off. The heat from the fire was very hot and the steel beams gave way and the building pancaked down.

I believe we were attacked that day by people who had been planning a long time. I remember the 93 attack on the same building. This was planned and carried out by people who wanted to send a strong message.

Do I think that the government is telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth? No, I think that they are hiding some facts and are not being totally honest. I don’t buy what our President George W. Bush said that they hate us because of our freedom. I think that is a lie. I think we were attacked because our policies around the world have made people angry with us and in some cases the world does have good valid reasons for their anger. After 9/11 our Consitution has been stripped of our freedoms more and more. How can he say the world hates us because of our freedom when we are not truly a free country anymore?

Like most things in life the truth often is somewhere in the middle. I don’t think that as I have heard from some people that George W. Bush and the American Government were behind the attack itself. I don’t believe as I have heard from some people that Israel is the one who attacked us that day. There are crazy stories going around that I think make some really good and honest people who deeply care, have a hard time sorting out truth from fiction. Do any of us really know the truth behind 9/11? Remember sometimes lies become stronger than the truth and when that happens the truth dies and the lies are believed as truth.

This government made mistakes during and after 9/11. Why not focus on the things that we do know. We do know that the government, EPA told the people who were trying to rescue and help that the air was safe to work in. It wasn’t and many of those people are dead or very sick now due to the toxic chemicals in the air. The Bush Administration decided to lie and say things were safe when they were not. That is a fact. I can bite my teeth into that fact and know that is a truth that can’t be denied.

People also might know more than they are saying in public. A wise man keeps quiet until he has all his ducks in a row before speaking out and going public. Don’t tip the enemy of your hand before you are ready to play.

I am a very honest person and I will admit I don’t know all the answers, but I do know that we have major problems facing this country now. We have things to worry about right now and in the future that I think have to be focused on more than solving all the answers left unanswered from 9/11 right now. I am not saying it isn’t important to know the facts and answer the riddles but we have things coming down the pike now that have to come before something that happen in the past. I am not saying we forget nor do I want to forget but I think we need to focus on the here and now and that is what we can do to save this country.

Does this make me a bad person because I am not jumping on the bandwagan to say 9/11 was an inside job carried out by George W. Bush and Company, Israel, or whoever the plot is being blamed on?

We have a very important election. We have people who are having to choose who they will vote for President. I have always taken my right to vote very seriously. We also have a duty as Americans to make sure that every vote is counted, that every American who can vote will be able to vote, and those who win the election actually take the seats that they have won, and to make sure that we watch out against those who would want to committ voting fraud. We are already seeing from both sides election fraud.

To me my focus right now is to make sure as best I can that we have a fair and clean election. Elections can be hard fought but they need to be honest and the people’s will carried out. We have a duty to make sure the political process runs smoothly.

To many times I see people who are so caught up on one issue that they forget the bigger picture. To one group of people abortion is the one and only issue that they care about. To another group of people 9/11 is the only issue they care about. To another group of people Immigration is the only issue they care about. On and on the list goes of certain groups and the only issues they care about. I have always been the rare gem who believe honesty is the most important quality I want in a President and Public Servent. Isn’t it more important to have someone who is willing to tell the truth? Who is willing to look at things with an open mind? Who is not afraid to say I don’t know the answer but I will find out?

I know I am not the only American who is having a hard time deciding who I will vote for because we don’t really trust any of the two party candidates. What is an honest person going to do this election? Will the American people this election make a stand and vote third party? Will we demand our voices be heard and will not accept the status quo anymore of picking one candidate from the same parties who have gotten us into this mess? Will we vote for the Consitution? I know I am.

I know I am Pollyanna and a dreamer. I like to believe that we as human beings can overcome and that in the end doing the right thing and take this country back is still possible. We won’t if we don’t focus on what is important in the here and now and that is making sure that every American cares enough to keep their eyes open and when there is election fraud speak out and expose it. We must search our hearts to find the answer of who of all the people running is the most honest and who really loves America and will put the American people first over Corporate power.

People keep telling me that I am living in La La land because I believe we can change things by our vote. I have always looked at the problems and thought to myself how can I solve them? How can I make things better?

I just get sad when I see that some Americans don’t seem to care anymore and don’t believe that our political system works anymore. I just wonder why so many Americans seem to not be concerned about the future this country is heading and can’t seem to care enough to fight to save this country that I love so much. Where is the backbone in the American people? What happen that honesty doesn’t seem to be a quality they want in a President anymore?

Mr. Kennedy, please do the right thing for your country, your family, and the country bylearning the facts about 9/11. Take the time to do your homework and read up at the links others have provided above here. I also recommend listening to the Alex Jones radio show at http://infowars.com

    Also read http://PrisonPlanet.com

  15. Mr. Kennedy,

There is no need to endorse “conspiracy theories” in order to seek the truth. Endorse the right of the people to know what is being covered up.

Those 28 redacted pages of the Joint Inquiry Congressional investigation describe “foreign governments” (PLURAL) assisting the alleged hijackers in the United States before the attacks. This is from US Senate transcripts:

    “(a) Findings.–The Senate finds that–
    (1) The President has prevented the release to the American public of 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001.
    (2) The contents of the redacted pages discuss sources of foreign support for some of the September 11th hijackers while they were in the United States.
    (3) The Administration’s decision to classify this
information prevents the American people from having access to information about the involvement of certain foreign governments in the terrorist attacks of September 2001.”
-Congressional Record: October 28, 2003 (Senate)
    Page S13349-S13372

Protecting “foreign governments” who attack the United States is the Constitutional definition of TREASON.

This is one part of a massive cover-up that no one can deny or argue against with rational logic.

Obviously a bunch of bad information has been put out there in the public sphere TO CONFUSE PEOPLE. This should be expected, given what facts we do know about the attacks, and where the evidence points (white house/intelligence agencies working with unnamed “foreign governments” to insure the attacks proceeded).

Talk to FBI translator SIBEL EDMONDS.

Talk to FBI Special Agent ROBERT WRIGHT.

Investigate Omar Bayoumi, who worked for the Saudi government, and lived with 2 alleged hijackers for over a year.

Investigate Lt. General Mahmoud Ahmad, the head of the Pakistani intelligence service, reported in the Times of India of ordering wire transfers to Mohammad Atta (alleged lead hijacker).

There are many leads. See my article for a list of possible witnesses and anomalies:

it’s interesting that everyone except from chrisy (the only one supporting the government’s story) cites hardcore facts and references to evidence and research while chrisy cites faith in obama and the history channel hitpiece. I am not trying to be mean it is just obvious that she has never looked at the facts from the movement. chrisy, please watch the movie improbable collapse on google video it is only an hour long and i know that you are intelligent enough to grasp the truth.

One size fits all dismissal of important questions is not impressive, Bobby.

I didn’t hear a word in that interview about testimony attained by way of torture. CIA destruction of evidence. Evidence used to compile the 9/11 CR classified until 1/09. CIA IG report still classified. Twenty eight pages of the Joint Inquiry dealing with Saudi support for two hijackers still classified. No officials held accountable despite claims of a massive intelligence failure. CIA obstruction of the Cole investigation which directly related to the success of the 9/11 attacks.

Oh, and one last thing – why isn’t Osama BinLaden listed on theFBI’s Most Wanted List? Why was he never officially charged with this heinous crime?

Yeah, think about it. Kinda strange, no?

  18. Linda Robinson

Mr. Kennedy, the truth movement needs smart and strong people like yourself to stand up and lend us your voice!

Jesse Ventura, Charlie Sheen, Willie Nelson, Rosie O’Donnell, and many other celebrities have spoken out. And guess what? Telling the truth didn’t destroy their careers…it only made them MORE popular with the people, who know what’s going on!

You have nothing to lose by telling the truth. You have everything to lose by remaining silent.

I will be the first one to admit that I am not very well educated. I am not stupid but because of circumstances in my life had to drop out of high school and really have had to self-teach myself as best I can the truth. I am not making excuses but that is just the way things are. I do the best I can with the tools that God has given me.
I continue to fight the best I can to overcome the struggles and try to inspire others to fight on to overcome their stuggles too. I have a lot to learn and each day try to learn something new.

Actually I am not voting for Obama Betty. I am a very honest person and right now I think it is best for America if I vote third party. I am a Consitution voter this year. I am voting for the Consitution and believe both parties have failed this country and need to be sent a strong message that the American people are not going to accept their lies anymore.

Yes, I do watch the History channel because it is one of the few tools I have used to educate myself. Sorry, it isn’t good enough for people. I just think it is sad that others judge others. I am used to that too. People always thinking the worst of me, thinking I am stupid, thinking I am hanging out with the wrong crowd. Though the thing is that 9 times out of 10 they are wrong about me and the reasons behind why I do things. I think it has only made me stronger and more determine to fight for the betterment of mankind.

Yes, I will look at the links, but right now I think it is more important to see that this election goes through and it is not stolen from the American people. 9/11 is important, but it happen in the past, and right now these next few weeks we have to make sure that the will of the American people is carried out. Neither of the two parties is the solution. Will enough people join the I am a Constitution Voter that the ACLU started and vote third party so that we can make the two major parties understand that we are not going to accept their lies, bad government, and criminal behavior.

The Democratic Congress has had two years to start impeachment proceedings. They have not so they would allow George W. Bush and company to get away with torture, WarCrimes and lying. Both parties are corrupt and that is the truth too. Many Americans wonder if there is an honest man/woman in government today. Many Americans don’t believe in the political process anymore. Frankly I am very worried about this election and so right now I am focusing on that more.

I have alot to learn and I will continue to educate myself day by day until the day I die. Many great Americans have been homeschooled in our nation’s history. Just because I have to teach myself doesn’t mean I can’t become an informed and educated American.

  20. Allison

I think the Bush administration is too incompetent to successfully plan 9-11. However, I will allow the possibility that they let it happen. There were too many warning signs. Didn’t the Project for the New American Century say that the neocons need a “new Pearl Harbor” to set their plans for preemptive war in motion? I think we need another investigation into these matters!

  22. What The...???

    Okay, this is REALLY strange…

TWO critical 9/11 eyewitnesses who BOTH reported hearing bombs in the Twin Towers and Building 7, have died recently under bizarre and unnatural circumstances. WTF???

First was Barry Jennings, a key 9/11 eyewitness who was an emergency coordinator for the New York Housing Authority, at age 53 from circumstances not yet disclosed.

A spokesperson for the Housing Authority has now confirmed his death, after weeks of rumors circulating online, but refused to give any further details. Several other individuals at the Housing Authority also confirmed that they knew Barry Jennings, and that indeed he had passed away about a month ago. No other details were available.

It is very unusual that a prominent — and controversial– 9/11 witness would die only days before the release of NIST’s report on WTC7 and shortly after a firestorm erupted over his testimony that he heard explosions inside the building prior to collapse of either tower and that there were dead bodies in the building’s blown-out lobby.

Here is Jennings describing the horror he saw in an interview with Jason Bermas and Dylan Avery, director of “Loose Change” and appears in their latest film, “Fabled Enemies”:

News of Jennings’ death comes on the heels of losing another 9/11 hero and eyewitness– Kenny Johannemann, who reportedly committed suicide 12 days before the seventh anniversary of 9/11.

Johannemann is credited with saving at least one man’s life on 9/11 and was also a witness to explosions in the towers.

Like William Rodriguez, Kenny Johannemann was working as a janitor at the World Trade Center towers on September 11th. He appeared on live TV on the morning of 9/11, a clip that later became viral on the internet and has been used in several 9/11 truth documentaries, including William Rodriguez’s Last Man Out.

In the clip (featured below) Johannemann states that a second “explosion” occurred in the north tower 10 minutes after an “explosion” in the south tower. The footage shows the two burning towers in the background before they were demolished.

Johannemann describes how he was in the basement and witnessed the elevator “blow up” and how he dragged a man out whose “skin was hanging off”. This is identical to the story that his fellow janitor William Rodriguez has related, the only difference being that he continues to tell it in the spotlight in public venues across the world.

Here he is being interviewed by a reporter on 9/11 as he describes hearing bombs in the building:

And here is his obit from the NY Daily News last week. Man, this story will break your heart.:

How many of ya’ll heard about this? Funny, in the wake of all that 9//1 anniversary coverage, most of the mainsream media outlets “overlooked’ reporting the deaths of these two 9/11 heroes who both died VERY mysteriously.

NIST’s report, as well as that of the 9/11 Commission (which did not even mention WTC7), completely ignored statements from the building leaseholder Larry Silverstein as well as numerous police, fire fighters and other eyewitnesses who have testified that they were warned about the building’s collapse and told to get back. One rescue worker even heard a countdown for the building’s implosion.

How much more evidence do you need that something is fishy here, Mr. Kennedy?

Don’t you think we should have a real investigation before they kill off the resto f these 9/11 eyewitnesses? Sir, do not forget how many people lost their lives after they witnessed something they shouldn’t have seen on 11/22/63.

You KNOW what I’m talking about.

conspiracies are usually discovered within a short time after their mission has been either accomplished or aborted. for 25 years i believed there was a conspiracy in the jfk and rfk cases. i recommend . vincent bugliosi’s jfk book.

The day RFK Jr. speaks out on 9/11 truth is the day he asks to be assassinated.

You see JFK Jr could have had the Presidency any time he wanted. If you’re gonna kill a lot of your own citizens and want to launch a global imperialist war you’d need to be sure no one such as a Kennedy would upset your plans. Sexiest man alive had to be eliminated.

RFK Jr knows 9/11 was an inside job. He knows his father, uncle and cousin were assassinated by heads in Government. RFK Jr knows the Bushes could have him killed any time he said he was running for high office. As long as he toes the line on 9/11 truth, like Ron Paul, he’ll stay alive.

Guys like Barry Jennings who shoot their mouths off end up 6ft under. Get it?

  27. What The...???

DS, I so totally get that, and would respect if RFK jr. knew the truth and kept his mouth shut to protect his family.

But is it really necessary to mock and laugh at those who choose NOT to remain silent?

I’d say to him, “look, pal, if you love your family more than you do your country, that’s fine. But I’m putting my ass on the line (yes, I have a family I love, too), so keep your chuckles/snide comments to yourself! I’m fighting for YOU AND YOUR FAMILY as much as my own, and your kids are no more important than mine!”

  28. It’s a curious fact of human nature: people laugh at things they do not understand.

People laugh at things they feel threatened by.

Sometimes a nervous laugh makes you feel better, especially if you are coming from a place of ignorance or fear.

This has been the reaction of many people I try and talk to about 9/11. They either shut down totally or laugh at anyone who questions.

Don’t get me wrong…I’m not saying that Kennedy is ignorant (perhaps only of the available facts on 9/11)…I was once ignorant of the facts, too. I used to laugh at people who tried to engage me in serious discourse on the subject, or wave them away…it took some time, but they got me curious and I started looking into it on my own. Now I’m not laughing anymore!!!

Yeah, dude, I “get it” – but you do realize that these are mafia tactics employed throughout the ages by MOBSTERS? Y’know, “just pay me some protection money &; keep your mouth shut &; we won’t burn down your store &; kill your wife.”

Guess what? You pay the money, live in fear, and the bastards burn down your store and kill your family anyway. I think the Kennedys oughta know that by now. Lesson? Don’t make deals with mobsters, don’t ever believe one of their promises of “protection.”

you do realize that the MOBSTERS running our country are really just a bunch of overfed cowards, drunk of the taste of blood, money and power, and that THEY MUST BE STOPPED?

& of course you realize that RFK’s father fought, prosecuted, and convicted MOBSTERS, right?

Bob Kennedy was not afraid of these bastards, and if his son is half the man his father was, he will face them down without fear. And if they shoot him, well, ya know, that would be horrible, horrible, but they make him a martyr and underscore his good name in the history books, just like his father. He can either be a footnote to history or be an integral part of it. His choice.

RFK and JFK understood well that when they spoke up against tyranny, they were putting themselves and their families at risk. They did it anyway. And they also knew that assassinating someone does not kill their message. You cannot silence the voice of truth. The people know that.

After 40+ years, people still quote RFK, JFK and MLK and are inspired by what they did with their lives. How many people do you think will be getting all misty-eyed quoting George W. Bush 50 years from now? Think McCain will inspire future leaders generations from now through acts of courage and leadership?

Speaking up LOUD and OFTEN is the best protection you can have. Guys like Barry Jennings wind up dead because they RETRACTED their testimony and tried to back up off of it aft er they’d said it. They caved to the threats and the pressure when told to sit down and shut up. This is the WORST thing you can do. You’ve got to SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS and stay in the public eye. Keep a low profile like Jennings and Johannsen, and yeah, you’ll disappear.

Keep a high profile and a loud mouth like Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura, Charlie Sheen, Ralph Nader etc…and you’ll live to fight another day.

I agree with the above poster. Who’s afraid of the big, bad mafia?

    not I!

The whole point of terrorism is to keep people afraid, is it not? Too afraid to fight back?

Oldest mob tactic in the book.

If RFK & JFK were alive today, they would have put the Bush crime family behind bars by now!

Rather than ask “what the hell is wrong with RFK Jr.?” which might be considered a personal attack and I want my comment to be published (not wind up in the trash bin), let me re-phrase that and ask:

“what is wrong with this generation of Americans?”

Previous generations would have seen this for what it is and punished the sickos who did it.

This generation seems content to let the Bush mafia do whatever they want, whenever they want. Hell, we just give `em a blank check and beg, “please don’t hurt us! Anything you say!”

People, wake up! Your future, your family, your job, your nest egg, your house, car, and all those nice creature comforts are about to go away…the revolution will not be televised. When the whip comes down (can’t you feel it lashing your back already?), “American Idol” won’t be on the telly.

Better get on the stick and fight like hell NOW.

Stop these bastards before they kill again.

And trust me, if we don’t stop them, they WILL kill again. A lot more people next time. They grow bolder every day that we grow weaker and more afraid. Lose the fear, America! Fight!

    That is all!

That is a valid question. I think that is a question that many of us are asking. I know I am.

I was talking to my friend yesterday and she was saying that no one cares. I think that is the answer right there that they don’t care. Here I am upset over what is going on and want to fight it, but to many Americans know what is going on but they don’t care enough to stop it. They are just willing to surrender without a fight. So yes America is in a very sad state when we have people who are either in denial and don’t want to know or hear the truth and those who know what is going on and don’t care enough to fight to fight for truth, justice and what is morally right.

You are right past generations wouldn’t have put up with this corruption, the lies, and the criminal behavior.

Maybe you can answer why no one seem to care enough to fight? Are they brainwashed? Are they lazy? Do they lack courage and strength? Maybe they don’t care because honesty doesn’t mean very much to Americans these days?

Maybe it is because they don’t believe that their vote means anything anymore? Maybe they believe that because we have to corporate parties that both are corrupted and do the bidding of the large corporations who are destroying this country and they feel that the American people don’t have any power left anymore to take this country back?

I don’t know what it will take to get people to care enough to fight and try their best to stand up and do what has to be done. Anyway, if you find out the answers on why and what we can do to get people interested in saving this country I would love to know.

  36. Had to jump in on this one…Chrissy and 9/11 Truther, you really hit on something there, methinks:

“what *is* wrong with this generation of Americans?”

Well, I’ve got a theory about that. Bear with me…

I think much of our God-given inborn nature to be critical thinkers has been literally medicated out of us by the “military-industrial-corporate-pharmaceutical-complex.” (Whew! That’s a mouthful!)

These days, they’ve got a pill for everything, most of them containing certain chemicals which induce a SOMA-like effect on the brain. Regulating life’s natural ups and downs, smoothing out the highs and lows that humans are supposed to experience – love, anger (the righteous kind, that is), etc…leaving us literally “dumbed down” and complacent, like sedated animals awaiting surgery at a vet hospital.

As a card-carrying member of Generation X, I’m part of the problem. This I recognize. (Although I can proudly say no prescription med touches my lips. I’m into homeopathic and natural medicine) But I didn’t even recognize there *was* a problem until…

I began studying history; started talking to my elders (a generation which knew nothing of Prozac, Viagra, and Lunesta), and I recognized something in previous generations that we lack: that good ol’ fighting American spirit. A love of liberty so deep-seated that they would go to any lengths to preserve it.

To what was perhaps this country’s last Great Generation, JFK said: “We will pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

Those words were not just great rhetoric or an empty promise. An entire generation took those words to heart. And they fought, bore the burden, met the hardships, and paid the price.

All too willingly, I might add.

During my time as this blog’s editor, I often wrote on the subject of courage. As I see it, true courage is all about the willingness to sacrifice. To put higher goals above your own personal needs, comfort and security.

This generation? Not so willing to sacrifice.

Sorry if that sounds harsh – maybe we can still redeem ourselves. Maybe it’s not too late. But we seem to have lost our cajones somewhere along the way; be it through medication, a poor education system, a popular culture which glorifies violence, greed, laziness and moral relativism — or a combination of all of the above. We’ve lost our edge, our keen B.S. detector, and what I like to call, “the Spirit of 1776.”

But not ALL of us are dead below the hairline just yet! It gives me great hope to meet so many motivated and awakened people out there on the barricades.

And you know what REALLY inspires me most?

Many of them are retirees, baby boomers who are still answering Kennedy’s call to service. Who are *leading* the fight and showing younger generations how organizing, civil disobedience and peaceful resistance should be done. They are the masters of this political art. We should listen to and learn from them, for they have much to teach us before they leave this earth.

Then, it will truly be up to us. To carry on in the names of our fathers, our grandfathers, and our forefathers. We can’t let them down.

My friend Mike Judge made a wonderful film about the generational dumbing down of America. See “Idiocracy.” You can rent it thru Netflix or Blockbuster, etc..or check out the trailer and a few excerpts free online here and here. Believe it or not, it’s a comedy. Hilarious in a oh-my-God-that’s-so-true-it’s-scary kind of way…)

As always NF you gave us some really good food for thought.

President Kennedy was the first President I remember first hand. I was just a little kid, but I remember him. He inspired a whole generation of youth. All these years later he is still the best President in my eyes.

I remember the 60’s as a kid and the youth protesting against the War in Viet Nam. We made our voices heard. We were willing to stand up and fight for what we believed to be the right thing. That same generation grew up and I think many of us(baby boomers) lost our idealism and joined the establishment. I keep on hoping that as we are in our middle age years that we will get our fight back to stand up again for what is morally right. As we made a difference then I believe that we baby boomers in our middle age today can make a difference in this very important fight that needs to be fought today. I haven’t given up hope that we boombers can inspire a new generation of youth to stand with us.

I think your points about the meds that people are on, the dumbing down of the people in our country are part of the problem. I also think people today are discouraged and have lost hope that we as people can change things. People are having a really hard time these days because of the economy. Americans are struggling just to make ends meat.

I was reading in the Buell family Book today about Sarah Buell Hale who is the Mother of Thanksgiving. She is one of my Buell Ancestors. She was a great woman who fought for Thanksgiving to be a National Holiday, for women to receive a good education and to help people achieve their goals. I have some of those genes and maybe that is why I fight. The thing is that all Americans have the genes of their ancestors who walked before them. We all have the example of our ancestors who walked before us and hopefully spur us on to fight the battles that this generation of Americans must fight to perserve our country and make it a better place for all Americans.

I was talking to a young girl on the computer not to long ago and I think for many of the younger generation that they don’t remember the glory days of this nation like us baby boomers who remember President Kennedy. To them it has always been the same ole same ole of greed, corruption and lies. I think that they are so used to living in the darkness that they have no concept of what it is like to live in the light. I may not be explaining this very well. I am trying to say that they have grown up with a government who has lied to them. My mom’s generation doesn’t even think for one moment that her own government would lie to the people, and of course us baby boomer remember Kent State and know what our government is capable of.

I just started a book called the Lost World of Thomas Jefferson by Daniel J Boorstin. Maybe if somehow we can inspire the American people to take to heart the feelings of those who were such a major role in the American Revolution and writing the Constitution that it can spark the will, strength, and courage to stand up for truth, justice and what we know we must do to save this country from the destructive path we are on. I hope so. I hope so because I have a nephew who I love very much and someday he will marry and have children. I worry about what kind of life my great nephews and neices will have when they are born in the world.

Somehow we must find the will to act so that future generations of Americans can know a good quality of life. If we fail because we do nothing because either no one cares enough to step up to the plate and join the fight or they are in denial and won’t admit the truth than it is the future children who will suffer.
