We’re launching another new blog! Check out “The Magic Bullet”

We’re proudly announcing the launch of yet another *new* blog! Thanks to contributing editor Jack Mosel for the idea and our founding editor, New Frontier, for the name and concept of the our latest site, THE MAGIC BULLET. We hope you will check it out and become an active participant in the debates there.  Right now, we’re just getting the site up off the ground, so please help us grow by telling a few friends about it and add our link to your blogrolls!

About the Magic Bullet

The founding fathers (and mothers!) of this blog met each other through a shared interest in the conspiracy research movement, particularly the JFK, RFK and MLK assassinations and the events of September 11, 2001.

We are proud Americans who love our country, but hate what we see happening to it. Though our own individual journeys of study and discovery, we all came to the same conclusion: that the same dark cabal of conspirators was responsible for the deaths of King and the Kennedys, as well as 3,000 innocent Americans on 9/11 – and that furthermore, this conspiracy actually has been in existence for hundreds of years, dating back to the earliest days of our Republic.

Our editorial team, comprised of Jack Mosel (senior editor), Tiger Haynes and New Frontier (contributing editors), all met while blogging on the various Kennedy-oriented websites founded by New Frontier. The idea recently came up to start a new blog where we could discuss other subjects that were not directly related to the Kennedys, and THE MAGIC BULLET was born.

Why THE MAGIC BULLET, you ask?

It’s simply a metaphor for “official” government cover stories (i.e. lies). Whenever governments perform an act of terrorism or a massive hoax on their own people, they always offer up a “magic bullet theory” – such as the Warren and 9/11 Commissions — some nice, convenient little way to tie up the loose ends and make it all sound like it was just a perfect coincidence, a “magic” bullet, if you will.

The idea of a blog called THE MAGIC BULLET is to de-construct those official myths and instead present the TRUTH. Ideally, this site will feature articles that are deeply researched, passionately written…and above all, THOUGHT-PROVOKING! The kinds of stories that stir debate and encourage readers to agree, disagree, and/or offer up their own version of historical events and yes, conspiracy theories, too.
Here we will endeavor not just to cover cover current events, but we want to help readers come to a better understanding of our history as well. We will examine critical events in American history, and present an “alternate” or “buried” version of the FACTS, not the HYPE or COVER STORY.

For example – here are just a few upcoming stories we’re working on:

  • Did America really win the Revolutionary War, or are we still secretly being controlled by our “mothership,” Great Britain?
  • Was the Civil War really fought to free the slaves? Or was it about usurpation of state’s rights?
  • Why was President McKinley assassinated?
  • What REALLY caused the Great Depression?
  • Is the Federal Reserve really Federal, and does it have a Reserve?
  • Why do we have a Federal Income Tax, and are we as individuals required to pay it?
  • Why was it necessary for the USA to become involved in WWI and WWII, when both were “Europe’s wars?”
  • Why did we go into Korea and Vietnam? Was it to stop the spread of communism as they say, or to make arms manufacturers rich?
  • What useful purpose does the United Nations serve? Is it a plot for global government or a benevolent organization that strives to save the world from itself?
  • Did Sirhan Sirhan really kill RFK all by his lonesome, or did he have help? If so, who else was involved and why haven’t they been caught?
  • Was JFK Jr.’s plane crash really “pilot error”? Or something more sinister?
  • Are the Bushes really Nazis?
  • Where’s Osama?
And of course…..last but certainly not least:
  • Was 9/11 an inside job?

These are just a few stories we’re currently developing, subjects that have always intrigued us, questions about our past that we  still research actively and seek answers to. We’d like to share our findings with others and encourage them to dig deeper; do more seeking on their own; to think independently and not just swallow whatever version of events their government gives them as fact.

There is so much more going on in the world today than meets the eye, so much more to history than what is in our history books. Or what they teach in school. We have to teach each other and educate OURSELVES, because there ain’t no such thing as a MAGIC BULLET! It’s all a myth and a dirty lie!!!!

45 Years Later, JFK’s Words Still Resonate

A SOMBER ANNIVERSARY

acsjfk383_14_11f

"We must use time as a tool, not a crutch." -- JFK

Today marks 45 years since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas.

It is a time when all Americans (even those who were not yet born in 1963) stop to reflect on what our country lost that day for we lost so much more than more than just a man — and we ponder what role that tragic event played in shaping the world we now find ourselves living in.

While it is important that we pause to remember the past, and to ask these questions about America’s future (he would want us to), let’s not allow ourselves to forget the man Jack Kennedy was. Because it seems that far too often, we focus our attention on his death and the many questions that still remain unanswered. Shouldn’t we instead remember his life?

Since this somber anniversary happens to fall around Thanksgiving, it just doesn’t seem appropriate somehow to be mournful. Rather, let us give thanks for all of the good things he brought to this world as a catalyst for change. Let us recall the way he inspired people around the globe; the hope and optimism he brought to the presidency. Let’s celebrate his vision, his strength, his courage, his razor-sharp mind, his gracecharm, and of course, that delightful, sometimes wicked wit.

This would be a perfect time to reach for one of your favorite books on the shelf and immerse yourself in some of his words. Listen to some of his best speeches. Because these things are the legacy he left us. His words will live in history forever and cannot be erased.

Naturally, we all have our own favorite books and speeches of JFK’s; I’ve certainly got a long list of works I find deeply moving and inspiring, but I’ll refrain from making any recommendations here because I feel that how each of us remembers him today should be a strictly personal choice.

But there is one little tidbit I want to share:

On November 19, 1963, just three days before his death, President Kennedy wrote this message for the rededication ceremonies of the national cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania:

“The goals of liberty and freedom, the obligations of keeping ours a government of and for the people are never-ending.”

Just one sentence, but this says it all. Written exactly 45 years ago, these words serve to remind us all that there is still so much work to do. Lest we forget.

RFK Jr. on the 9/11 Truth Movement

What made these towers fall? Inquiring minds want to know...

What made these towers fall? Inquiring minds want to know...

RFK JR: WHERE HE STANDS ON 9/11 TRUTH

In the wake of the 7th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, Ralph Nader’s well-timed call for a “real investigation,” and this blog’s week-long series of features on independent, third-party and true maverick candidates like Jesse Ventura, Nader, Ron Paul, and Cynthia McKinney all who question the official story, many of our readers have been asking us where Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stands on the question of 9/11 Truth.

Some have pointed out that Kennedy’s uncle, President John F. Kennedy, often warned against such an “inside job” happening in America, citing 1962’s Operation Northwoods, his famous anti-secrecy speech (see video clip below), and even a fascinating doodle by Kennedy from late 1963 in which he scribbled “9” and “11” and the word “conspiracy” as proofs that he must have been either incredibly psychic or else knew something we didn’t 45 years ago.

In To Seek a Newer World, Robert F. Kennedy wrote these controversial and perhaps telling words which some have interpreted as a warning to mankind:

“All of us will ultimately be judged and as the years pass we will surely judge ourselves, on the effort we have contributed to building a new world order and the extent to which our ideals and goals have shaped that effort.”

Does this mean RFK saw exactly what was happening and refused the Electric Kool-Aid that was being passed around in the late 1960s? A lot of folks sure seem to think he was blessed with second sight!

Others point to the assassinations of both Kennedy brothers as inside jobs, and openly question how any member of the Kennedy family could fail to see that 9/11 was another coordinated “hit.” How could the Kennedys, of all people, know of this tyranny and not speak out against it, they ask?

So, to put the question to rest, here is what RFK Jr. has said on the record about 9/11 Truthers, the Pentagon plane mystery, bombs in the Twin Towers, and all that jazz.

These comments were made during an interview Bobby did with Philip Shenon, investigative journalist for the New York Times and author of the book The Commission, about the 9/11 Commission. The date of this interview was May 10, 2008, and aired on Ring of Fire, Kennedy’s weekly Air America radio show.

Below are direct permalinks to the interview on the official Ring of Fire and GoLeft.tv websites, so you don’t think we’re making this stuff up! Direct from the source, folks!:

AUDIO LINK – (Interview segment begins about halfway into the hour)
VIDEO LINK – (9/11 Truth issue is raised around 14:20)

We encourage our readers to take 20 minutes out of their day to listen very carefully to this interview and understand where Kennedy stands on the 9/11 issue.

Many of RFK’s supporters are openly skeptical of the government’s official story about the events of September 11, and the 9/11 Commission. But in the interest of presenting the facts, we want Kennedy’s supporters to know what they are. We do not want any one putting words in Kennedy’s mouth by saying he stands for 9/11 Truth when he clearly does not.

You might think he’s wrong – and feel free to disagree with him – but at least you now know what his take is on the 9/11 Truth movement. We do not censor comments on this blog (avoid personal attacks, and you’ll be welcome here), so 9/11 Truthers are encouraged to express themselves in this forum. Let’s have an open, honest debate. Bring your evidence, bring your facts, and let’s get into it!

Before anyone turns this into a flame war, keep this in mind: Kennedy openly admits in the above interview that he hasn’t taken the time to really look into the evidence. Maybe he should. So our readers who hope to convince Mr. Kennedy can be most helpful by pointing out where he can find the info he needs. Post external links to reputable sources and documents online, or better yet, print out a stack of documentation and mail it to him (that’s the stuff he’ll actually look at – he doesn’t have much time for websurfing). Or call him up on his radio show and ask him about specific 9/11 facts. Perhaps you’ll bump into him at a booksigning and have the chance to talk to him in person. Respectful disagreement is what America is all about, with an emphasis on respectful. At least that’s our motto here.

It’s a tough issue, this whole 9/11 “inside job” thing – one that divides my own family and even this blog’s own editorial staff argues amongst ourselves as to whether “the gubberment did it” or not. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Kennedys themselves are divided over what really happened on Sept. 11. What about RFK Jr.’s supporters? Where do you stand, and do you think Bobby is right or wrong? Let us know…

Example of the JFK/911 Connection perpetuated by many conspiracy research groups across America today, this one in Portland, OR.

Ralph Nader Demands A “Real” 9/11 Investigation

NADER TAKES RISKY-BUT-BRAVE STAND

On the 7th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks, Ralph Nader has become the only presidential candidate (besides Green party nominee Cynthia McKinney, who has been a 9/11 Truth advocate since 2002) to demand a “real investigation” into the events of that fateful morning.

It was more than just campaign rhetoric; more than just the usual faux indigination we so often get from the candidates on days like these. Ralph Nader made it a promise, a solemn pledge to the American people.

So if you’re skeptical of the government’s official story about 9/11, and you want to see a real investigation into this national tragedy, looks like Ralph Nader’s your man this November. Or Cynthia McKinney is your woman.

Nobody else in this race is going to crane their necks very hard looking for the truth. They’re all too busy reading the TelePrompTer, checking their hairstyles in the mirror, and putting lipstick on pigs.

Remember that old Southern saying, “when pigs fly?” That’s exactly what you’ll hear from both John McCain and Barack Obama if you ask them for a new investigation into 9/11.

When pigs fly, indeed. Next thing ya know, we’ll be watching painted pigs flying into skyscrapers.

Hey, stranger things have been known to happen in America.

If, by some miracle, Nader actually got elected, I think I’d feel pretty good about letting him run the store. One thing I do know about Ralph Nader: he loves the Constitution and knows the law like nobody’s business. He prosecutes people who violate it, which is more than I can say for our Democrats in Congress.

Here’s the full story and video of Ralph Nader’s explosive comments:

RALPH NADER CALLS FOR “REAL” 9/11 INVESTIGATION

Independent presidential candidate says he supports 9/11 truth movement

Story by Steve Watson
Infowars.net

Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader pledged support for a new investigation into the events of 9/11 Monday, commenting that the 9/11 Commission was “flawed, right from the get go”.

Nader was questioned by members of We Are Change Ohio at a campaign rally in Cincinnati, Ohio earlier this week.

Asked if he supported the 9/11 Truth Movement and the efforts of activists and victims’ families to expose the lies surrounding the attacks, Nader responded;

“I was there when they were collecting signatures in the audience and I supported it.” Nader ommented, referring to We are Change’s activities at the meeting.

“The 9/11 Commission, first of all, it took the members of the great families to push the administration even to have an inquiry, can you imagine an attack like that and the government didn’t even want to have an inquiry?” stated Nader.

“And second, the ground rules for the 9/11 Commission were that they weren’t going to name names, or hold anybody responsible, that’s a real investigation,” he added with irony.

“So right from the get go it was flawed and there needs to be another one, and the best place to have it is New York City.” Nader concluded.

Nader was a key figure in the original movement to establish the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a government agency that has been fiercely criticized for its role in declaring the air at ground zero safe to breathe, when in reality it contained deadly toxins that have led to the chronic illnesses and slow deaths of hundreds of first responders.

Nader recently spoke with Alex Jones (Mp3) concerning the lack of difference between the two main party candidates, the violations of the Constitution by the current administration, the futility of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the reasons he is running for president for a fifth time.

HERE’S THE VIDEO FROM NADER’S SPEECH YESTERDAY:

NADER ASKS RON PAUL SUPPORTERS TO JOIN HIM

* Ralph Nader posted this message on his website after holding a news conference at the National Press Club yesterday with former presidential candidate Ron Paul:

Ron Paul and Ralph Nader, September 10, 2008

Today, along with other third party candidates, I joined Congressman Ron Paul to endorse a common agenda that stands up for the US Constitution by ending illegal wars, and protecting the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We also jointly called for an immediate halt to the increase in the national debt, an end to corporate subsidies and taxpayer bailouts of corporations, and to start aggressively pursuing prosecution of corporations that commit crimes and frauds.

Both Congressman Paul and I also support holding President Bush and Dick Cheney to account for their transgressions against our Constitution.

Today’s coming together of third party candidates marks the beginning of the realignment of American politics.

While Congressman Paul and I do not agree on all things — such as health and safety regulations and health insurance systems and how to handle areas where the market fails or is not up to the task of getting the best outcomes for the American people — on the overriding foreign policy, reckless waste financed by deficit spending, and civil liberties issues of the day, we stand together. He is a stalwart who has consistently stood up for what he believes in and never wavered when he is opposed by the legions of commercial interests and lobbyists that swarm the Capitol.

Congressman Paul said today, “the strongest message can be sent by rejecting the two-party system, which in reality is a one-party system with no possible chance for the changes to occur which are necessary to solve our economic and foreign policy problems.” He also called on his supporters to vote for Nader/Gonzalez or one of the other non-establishment, principled candidates, who support the joint statement issued today.

For all the millions of people who have broken free from the establishment parties’ domination over our dwindling democracy, Nader/Gonzalez presents a clear choice for those who want to support a candidate who will stand up against the war and stand up for personal liberties and privacy that have been trampled on by the notorious, misnamed, PATRIOT Act, the FISA ‘snoop’ Bill, and the unilateral dictates of the Bush/Cheney regime.

Some unfairly paint the Nader/Gonzalez candidacy as being for big government. Nothing could be more untrue.

Nader/Gonzalez supports a government of the people, by the people, for the people. We agree with Congressman Paul that government is rife with waste and corporate demands, and needs to be scaled back in many areas — most of all the bloated, wasteful US military budget, which is half of the government’s total operating budget.

We are also against big government doling out hundreds of billions in corporate welfare, subsidies, and bailouts to companies.

We support abolishing income tax on the first $50,000 of income to be made up with a fraction of a percent Wall Street speculation tax, especially on derivatives.

Op-Ed: Is America A Fascist Nation?

RISE OF THE FOURTH REICH

As anyone who has ever heard Robert F. Kennedy Jr. speak on the subject of fascism already knows, he says that America is not veering towards becoming a fascist state — he thinks we’re already there, friends.

According to Kennedy, we passed that mile marker a long time ago.

In his 2004 book Crimes Against Nature (soon to be a documentary film), Kennedy strongly implies that we live in a fascist country and that the Bush White House picked up more than a few tricks from the Nazis.

“While communism is the control of business by government, fascism is the control of government by business,” he writes. “My American Heritage Dictionary defines fascism as ‘a system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership together with belligerent nationalism.’ Sound familiar?”

He quotes Hitler’s propaganda chief Herman Goerring: “It is always simply a matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

Kennedy then adds: “The White House has clearly grasped the lesson.”

Kennedy also quotes Benito Mussolini’s insight that “fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.”

“The biggest threat to American democracy is corporate power,” Kennedy told us.

“There is vogue in the White House to talk about the threat of big government. But since the beginning of our national history, our most visionary political leaders have warned the American public against the domination of government by corporate power. That warning is missing in the national debate right now. Because so much corporate money is going into politics, the Democratic Party itself has dropped the ball. They just quash discussion about the corrosive impact of excessive corporate power on American democracy.”

SO AT LEAST SOME OF US SEE WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW…

But how many realize that fascism is hardly new to the United States?

This isn’t something that just suddenly happened over the past 7 years.

In actual fact, the cancer has been growing here since the 1920s, back when Mussolini was still fashionable and Hitler’s brand of socialism looked like a plan that just might work in the USA. Many powerful, influential, and seemingly otherwise intelligent people believed adopting a fascist system here would be the only way to end the Great Depression. After all, it had worked so well in Germany and Italy, hadn’t it?

Charles Chaplin as Hitler in The Great Dictator

Charles Chaplin parodies Hitler in his 1939 classic film, The Great Dictator.

(United Artists.)

In the 1930s, the fasces (an ancient Roman symbol adopted by the Nazis at about that same time) started showing up on our money, in our government buildings and public landmarks. Check out a few comparative photographic examples here.

Our attitudes towards the Fascists supposedly changed after 1940 – but if that is true, why did we bring over so many of the top German Nazis after the war and protect them from prosecution at the Hague?

Why haven’t the fascist symbols in the halls of Congress and on our currency been removed? It’s only been 67 years since the U.S. entered World War Two; you’d think someone would have gotten around to it by now.

And why the hell is there a building on a US Naval Base shaped like a Swastika?

Hardly anyone knew of this building outside the Coronado Naval Amphibious Base near San Diego until recently when Google mapped it. The story spread like a California wildfire through the blogosphere, eventually being picked up by the mainstream media.

Needless to say, the Navy had some ‘splainin’ to do.

Since the building was constructed well after WWII (in 1967), they can hardly claim to be ignorant of the symbolism. Even though the Swastika is an ancient symbol of luck, love and peace in many cultures, the Nazis perverted it into a symbol of hatred, intolerance and mass murder in the 20th century. When you see a Swastika today, what does it make you think of? Your first thought probably has nothing to do with world peace.

Maybe this was not the best PR move for an Allied military in the postwar era. I might wager a guess that any parent who lost a son in WWII fighting the Nazis would be deeply offended by such a building on a US NAVY BASE if they had known of it! Especially if that dead son had served in the Navy or Air Force.

Navy officials admitted to having “discovered” this many years ago (uh, how could they have missed it in the first place, one wonders?) but since there is a no-fly zone above the naval base, they figured no one would see it.

Well, the eagle eyes of Google Earth miss nothing.

And now that the secret is out, the Navy has announced that they will be spending $600,000 to alter the shape of the building into something less offensive — like a square, for example.

TIME TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE GAS

Talk to people in the 9/11 Truth movement and they will tell you that September 11th was a sort of fire sacrifice to whatever Dark Lords these Nazi bastards worship. I don’t know about that, although I’m far from convinced the Twin Towers were brought down by two commercial jetliners. Looked like someone just hit a detanator button to me.

And don’t get me started on whether or not a plane actually hit the Pentagon.

Or the Bush family ties to top Nazis dating back long before WWII. (Although unlike many of the 9/11 conspiracy theories, this is a well-documented historical fact.)

The old adage, “power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely” is proven true again and again. The controllers establish total power over us while we nap blissfully in an illusion of freedom. By the time we wake up and fully realize the deep shit we’re really in, it’s too late. We’re already on the train with a one-way ticket to Auchwitz.

We never seem to see it coming, even when it was right in our faces the whole time. That’s the trouble with rose-colored glasses.

When History Repeats...

“It is a quite special secret pleasure how the people around us fail to realize what is really happening to them.”

— Adolf Hitler

Some say it’s already too late and that the coup d’ etat has long been complete. They say that fascism is too deeply rooted in our government over too many decades to be rooted out. I hate to join that doom-and-gloom camp, but sometimes I wonder if they are right.

Maybe we missed our golden opportunity to stop this snowball careening downhill 15 years ago when we watched a church filled with men, women and children torched by our loving government and we did nothing. (Besides, everybody knows those Branch Davidians were just a bunch of whacko fundamentalists anyway, so who why stick your neck out to raise a First Amendment question in the middle of a human barbecue?)

Was that us, the United States of America, openly conducting religious genocide in 1993?

So when it happens in other countries, genocide is bad, but when we do it to our own people, that’s acceptable? What the hell are we saying? Do we hear ourselves? And where is this line of thinking ultimately going to take us as the “moral leaders” of the world?

To my mind (and at least that of former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark as well), Waco was America’s Kristallnacht and unfortunately the majority of Americans reacted to it the same way the Germans did in 1938 — with either outright approval or disinterested acquiescence.

When will we ever learn?
